A: Load has a much greater impact on bearing life than speed. Speed and life are inversely proportional. For example, if the speed of a ball bearing is doubled, its life is halved. Conversely, if the speed is halved, its life is doubled. However, if the load acting on a ball bearing is doubled, its life is reduced to 1/8 to 1/10. Load has a more significant impact on the life of roller bearings. The bearing life calculation formula is as follows:
L10: Basic rating life, expressed in millions of revolutions, is the life that 90% of a large number of identical bearings will reach or exceed before first fatigue occurs, expressed in 106 revolutions (90% reliability).
