With the development of technology, the service life of automotive gear oil is also changing. Previously, automotive gear oil was generally replaced every 40,000 kilometers. Now, due to the development of technology and the improvement of automotive parts production specifications, the requirements for various oils have also increased.
For example, adding ordinary gear oil to a luxury car will definitely not be good for the internal gears of the car. As for when to replace automotive gear oil, this requires the owner to make comprehensive considerations from multiple angles according to the specific situation, so as to increase the replacement cycle.
Usually, you can choose to replace the gear oil every 50,000 to 60,000 kilometers, which can also effectively improve the efficiency of the gears transmitting engine power.
Lubricating oil replacement steps:
Before changing the gear oil, warm up the car so that the car remains at normal temperature.
Step 1: Remove the gear
We should first find the position of the odometer line on the gearbox, then carefully remove the odometer spool cover, and then slowly pull the plastic pinion.
Step 2: Drain the old gear oil
Remove the gear oil drain plug of the gearbox, drain the original old gear oil, and then tighten the drain plug. Be sure to drain the old oil inside to prevent contamination of the newly added gear oil.
Step 3: Add gear oil
Then start filling the gear oil from the odometer axis hole. When adding, pay attention to the position of the gear oil surface so as not to exceed the F line. At the same time, when filling, be as careful as possible to prevent the oil from overflowing.
Step 4: Reinstall
The gear that has been removed should be installed carefully. It is best to install it according to the operating instructions. Do not install less spare parts.
